Sphinx

This design is charted from the painting "Sphinx" by Johanna Pieterman.

This piece started as a commission for someone who loves and owns Sphinx Cats, that most special bald cat. Of course the name did not need much thinking, so I created an Egyptian world around the Sphinx... Going back in time. The stone lady comes alive and her soul is that of a Sphinx...

The model was stitched on 16-count cream Aida by Heather Golley of Kaitaia, New Zealand.
